The short step is the springboard in the Parete system. Studio Nooi shaped it as a compact oak-veneer platform that mounts to the wall as a jumping-off point or a small elevated post for a cat to pause and watch from. It transforms an unused stretch of wall into part of a climbing route.
Crafted from molded plywood with a refined oak veneer, it looks like a considered wall fixture rather than pet gear. Combine it with the long step and the scratching panel to build a full Parete wall.
Parete is the lighter answer to a climbing wall, and the short step is its opening move, a launch point on bare plaster with none of a full tower's commitment.
