Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Your data.Your call, always.
This page explains, in plain language, what "sale" and "sharing" of personal information mean under U.S. state privacy law, exactly what The Meow Picks does and does not do with your information, and how to opt out — including through an automatic browser signal — at any time.
We do not sell your information for money. Here is the more precise picture.
Aesthi Technologies Inc., doing business as The Meow Picks, does not sell personal information to data brokers or third parties in exchange for money. However, several U.S. state privacy laws — starting with California's — define "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough to include certain advertising and analytics cookies used on this site, even where no money changes hands. This page tells you exactly where that applies to us, and gives you a direct way to opt out.
No sale of your data for money
We have never sold, and do not currently sell, personal information to third parties for monetary consideration.
Advertising cookies may count as "sharing"
Pixels and cookies used for interest-based ads (for example, Meta or Google advertising tools) can meet the legal definition of "sale" or "sharing" under state law, even without payment.
You control it, at any time
Use the toggles below, submit the form, call us, email us, or turn on your browser's Global Privacy Control — we honor all of them.
What "sale" and "sharing" actually mean here.
Specific to shopping for furniture, tech, and everyday cat goods.
These are the categories of personal information we actually collect through this store, described the way our own systems use them — not a generic list copied from another company's policy.
Two switches. Your call.
These preferences apply to this browser and, once matched to your account or email, to your customer record. You may change them again at any time — there is no limit on how often you opt out.
Stops any disclosure of your personal information that meets the legal definition of "sale" or "sharing," including cross-context behavioral advertising through third-party ad and analytics tools.
Limits use of any sensitive personal information (such as precise location or account log-in details) to what is reasonably necessary to provide the goods and services you request.
Four ways in. One consistent outcome.
You submit a request
Toggle a preference above, submit the contact form, email us, call us, or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser.
We confirm who you are
For an opt-out, we only need enough information to match the request to a browser session or, where relevant, a customer email — a lighter check than what we use for data deletion or access requests.
We apply it within 15 days
Opt-out and Global Privacy Control requests are honored within 15 business days, consistent with CCPA/CPRA and comparable state requirements, and typically much sooner in practice.
It stays applied
Your preference persists until you change it again. We do not re-enable advertising sharing without a new, affirmative action from you.
Your rights, wherever in the United States you're shopping from.
We ship only within the United States, so these are the frameworks that govern your data. Thresholds and enforcement differ, but we apply the opt-out toggles above consistently to every customer, in every state, regardless of whether that state's law technically applies to a business our size.

This summary is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. Full policy language governing your purchase — including our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Legal Notice — takes precedence over this page in the event of any conflict. More states continue to pass comprehensive privacy laws; we update this list as new laws take effect.
What counts, and what we do with it.
State privacy laws define certain categories of personal information as "sensitive," with stricter rules on their use. Of the categories the law recognizes, the only one we handle in the ordinary course of business is your account log-in credentials (used solely to secure your account) and your approximate geolocation (used solely to calculate shipping and applicable sales tax). We do not collect precise geolocation, biometric data, health data, racial or ethnic origin, immigration status, or similar sensitive categories through this storefront. Choosing "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" above restricts our use of the categories we do handle to what is strictly necessary to fulfill your order and secure your account.
We do not knowingly sell or share a minor's information.
This storefront is intended for adult shoppers purchasing goods for their cats, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in a manner that would trigger the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). California law requires opt-in consent — not just an opt-out — before selling or sharing the personal information of any consumer under 16, and several other states require opt-in consent for targeted advertising or sale involving consumers aged 13–17. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of any consumer under 18, and we do not run targeted advertising campaigns directed at minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us using the details below and we will address it promptly.
Low friction for opt-outs, more care for account changes.
Because opting out of sale or sharing does not expose your personal information to anyone, we apply a light verification step: matching your request to a browser signal, or to the email address on your order or account. If you ask us to also delete, correct, or provide a copy of your data, we may request additional confirmation (such as verifying the email or order number tied to your account) to make sure we are speaking with you and not someone impersonating you. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we will ask the agent for written proof of your authorization and may separately confirm the request directly with you.
Opting out changes nothing about your price or service.
Exercising any privacy right described on this page will never result in a higher price, a lower level of service, denial of goods, or any other form of discrimination from The Meow Picks. You will still be able to browse, buy, and receive support exactly as before — the only difference is that certain advertising and analytics disclosures will be switched off.
