Long Lounger Cat Climber

A long shelf with room for a full stretch, not just a sit.

Where most wall shelves give a cat somewhere to perch, the Long lounger gives it somewhere to sprawl. The extra length means a big cat can lie out full, or two smaller cats can share without a standoff. It is the piece that turns a climbing route into a place to actually stay.

Firm recycled PET felt holds the shape and takes a claw, and the rounded edges invite the face rub that marks it as theirs. The color matched stainless steel bracket keeps it level and nearly invisible against the wall.

Up in an afternoon

Each climber ships with its mounting hardware in the box: an Allen key, toggle bolts, screws, and wall plugs sized for hollow drywall or solid brick and concrete. The four piece sets add paper spacing templates, so you can plan the layout and mark the holes before a single one is drilled. One shelf goes up in a few minutes, and a whole wall is an afternoon. Tested to hold up to 55 lb (25 kg), so it takes a big cat landing at speed.

Felt from bottles, not trees

The felt is spun from 100 percent recycled PET, the same plastic drink bottles would otherwise become landfill. It is firm enough to hold a shelf's shape and soft enough that a cat rubs its face along the edge to claim it, and when it finally wears you swap the felt slices instead of the whole shelf.

Pryde Pets is a family run studio in Brisbane, Australia, where the climbers are cut, sanded, and finished by hand. The shapes are modular on purpose: start with a single shelf or the four piece set, watch where the cat actually goes, then add steps, a lounger, or a nest to extend the route. Every piece lines up with what is already on the wall, so the setup grows with the cat instead of being a one time buy.
