Most scratching posts are an eyesore you tuck out of sight. Itchie is built the other way round, a sculptural cactus shape in European birch plywood under solid ash veneer, finished with oil and wax so the grain still reads as furniture. It stands tall enough for a full stretch, which is the part cheap posts get wrong.
The scratching surface is recycled polypropylene fiber, dense enough to take real use, and there is a small blackboard on the front so you can chalk your cat's name on it. Made in Barcelona, and meant to sit in the open.
We picked Itchie because it solves the oldest argument in the house, your sofa versus their claws, without asking you to put something ugly in the living room.
