Floating Cat Step
A wall-mounted sisal step that builds a climbing path and gives claws a place to land, minus the cardboard mess.

This is a scratcher and a foothold in one. Wrapped in tough natural sisal, it stands up to real clawing without the shedding and crumbling you get from cardboard, and mounted in a line these steps become a climbing route up the wall. The sisal is glued down the full length of the post, so it will not sag or unravel after a season of heavy use.
It was made with renters in mind. The step goes into studs but will also take drywall, brick, or concrete, and it hangs on two standard number 8 screws, the same size you would use for a picture. A foam backing protects your paint, and pulling it off later leaves only two small holes to patch. As the original floating sisal post, it has had over a decade of refinement behind it, with a steel bracket rated to hold up to 70 pounds per post.
We chose the Floating Step for renters and clean-wall types, the original design that still installs like a picture frame and scratches like a serious post.
