Dune Cat Bed

About the Dune Cat Bed

The Dune Cat Bed a wave of oiled birch plywood that cradles your cat off the cold floor, shaped to sit out like the furniture it is.

Dune began as an experiment in bending flat plywood into something that looks poured rather than cut. The top is a single warm wave of oiled multilayer birch, dished just enough to gather a curled cat and raised off the floor on slim feet so draughts stay underneath. It reads as a low sculptural bench as much as a cat bed, which is part of why it took the BigSEE Wood Award in 2019. Leave it bare for the grain, lay the shaped Baie leather over it for a softer surface, or drop in an Oasi cushion when you want color, and size it small, medium or large to the cat and the room.

Made in Italy by Brandodesign

The Brando Collection is the work of architect Pierangelo Brandolisio, who draws each piece as furniture in its own right rather than pet gear parked in a corner. Everything is made in Italy with selected materials and real craft, from oil-finished birch plywood and solid walnut to corten steel and hand-woven rattan.

Designed around the animal

Proportions, materials and details are worked out around how a cat actually rests, hides and climbs, so the piece holds its own in a considered room and still gives your cat somewhere it wants to be.
