Balandra Folding Cat Scratcher
A folding triangle with six scratch faces and a thick, hard-wearing edge.
Final/Total cost shown at checkout
Balandra folds from a flat panel into a triangular prism, opening up six faces for a cat to scratch at different angles, then folds back down when you want it out of the way. The board is a full four centimeters thick, so it takes daily clawing without collapsing into a soft mess.
It pairs corrugated cardboard, the surface cats prefer, with a fiberboard core that keeps the whole thing rigid.

Mediterranean by design, natural by default
Althea Living is a Spanish studio that names its cat pieces like a chart of the coast, Timon, Marea, Faro, Isla, and builds them from materials that match, cork harvested without felling the tree, recycled cardboard, solid wood, jute and sisal. The idea is simple, cat furniture should be good for the cat, easy on the eye and light on the planet.
Made to be lived with
Each piece is shaped to sit in a real room rather than hide in a corner, and built from materials that renew themselves or recycle at the end of their life. It is cat gear you can leave in plain sight and feel good about.
A folding scratcher that gives six angles from one flat panel is a smart use of cardboard, and the thick board lasts longer than most.
- Triangular fold gives six surfaces to scratch
- Folds flat for storage or a change of shape
- Four-centimeter-thick board resists crushing
- Corrugated cardboard over a fiberboard core
