Payment Policy
Clear pricing,secure checkout, no surprises.
This Payment Policy explains exactly how payment works when you order designer cat furniture, smart home technology, or lifestyle accessories from The Meow Picks — which methods we accept, when your card is charged, how your data is protected, and how sales tax is calculated on every order shipped within the United States.
Twelve ways to pay,
all processed through one secure checkout.
Every order on themeowpicks.com is completed through Shopify's checkout, so no card details are ever entered on, or stored by, our own servers. We currently accept the following:
Digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay) draw from the card already saved in that wallet, so the same card rules described on this page apply. Wallet and card brand marks are the property of their respective owners and are shown here solely to identify accepted payment methods; their display does not imply sponsorship or endorsement of The Meow Picks.
One authorization, one capture, no follow-up charges.
You confirm your order
At checkout you review an itemized total in USD — product price, shipping, and sales tax — before entering payment details.
Card is authorized
Your card issuer or wallet provider confirms the funds are available and places a hold for the order total.
Payment is captured
Because most items are shipped from ready stock, we capture (charge) payment at the time the order is placed, not on a later ship date.
Confirmation is emailed
An order confirmation with your order number, itemized total, and tax is sent immediately once payment is authorized and captured.
If a specific item is on backorder or made to order by an independent maker, the product page states this before you check out, along with the expected dispatch window; the Mail, Internet, and Telephone Order Rule (16 CFR Part 435) requires us to ship within the stated timeframe or offer you a full refund, and we follow that standard even though payment is captured at order time.
Every price you see is the price you're charged.
All prices on themeowpicks.com are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) and include no hidden processing or checkout fees. Applicable state and local sales tax is calculated automatically by Shopify's tax engine based on your shipping address and displayed as a separate line item before you confirm payment — we do not add a markup to tax. Because Aesthi Technologies Inc. is registered in Delaware and sells only within the United States, tax is collected in states where we have established nexus under that state's economic nexus threshold; if no tax is shown for your state, none is currently due on that order.
Your card details never touch our servers.
PCI DSS Level 1
Checkout, card capture, and transmission run entirely on Shopify's PCI DSS Level 1-certified payment infrastructure — the highest tier of card-industry data security certification.
TLS 1.2+ encryption
Every page of checkout is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so card numbers, expiry dates, and CVV codes are encrypted in transit from your browser to our payment processor.
Tokenized, not stored
Full card numbers are converted to a one-time payment token by our processor; Aesthi Technologies Inc. never sees, stores, or has access to your complete card number at any point.
If you save a card for faster future checkout, that card is stored by our payment processor's vault under its own PCI-compliant systems — never in our store's database — and can be removed at any time from your account or by contacting us.
Automated checks that protect both sides of the sale.
Every order is screened by Shopify's fraud-analysis tools alongside standard card-network checks, including Address Verification Service (AVS) matching and CVV verification. Orders that return a high fraud-risk score, show a billing and shipping mismatch, or request an unusually large quantity of a single item may be placed on a brief manual review, held for additional verification, or cancelled with a full refund before dispatch. We will always contact you at the email or phone number on file if we need to confirm details before shipping.
If a payment doesn't go through.
A decline at checkout almost always originates with your card issuer or bank — common causes include an incorrect billing ZIP code, an expired card, or a temporary hold from your issuer's own fraud filters — rather than an error on our end. No funds are captured on a declined attempt, though your bank may briefly show a pending authorization that clears automatically within a few business days. If your card is repeatedly declined, try an alternate payment method from the list above or contact your card issuer directly; our support team is also glad to help troubleshoot at josh@themeowpicks.com.
Refunds return to the card or wallet you paid with.
Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method used at checkout — we do not issue cash, check, or store-credit refunds in place of a card refund unless you request store credit. Processing typically appears on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer. Full eligibility windows and conditions are set out in our Refund Policy. Where a partial cancellation occurs before dispatch, only the affected line items and their tax are reversed.
Installments through Shop Pay, where offered.
On qualifying orders, Shop Pay may present a Shop Pay Installments option at checkout, letting you split the total into several payments. That plan, its eligibility criteria, interest terms (if any), and approval decision are provided entirely by Shop Pay's own lending partner, not by Aesthi Technologies Inc. — we simply display the option when Shop Pay makes it available for your cart and location. We do not currently offer any other buy-now-pay-later, layaway, or installment program directly.
We ship within the U.S. only — but your card doesn't have to be.
We currently ship exclusively to addresses within the United States, as described in our Shipping Policy. If you are paying with a card or account issued outside the United States, all amounts are still charged in USD; your bank converts the total to your home currency at its own exchange rate and may apply a foreign transaction fee — that fee, if any, is set by your card issuer, not by us, and does not appear on our checkout total.
Payment practices built around U.S. commerce law.
Aesthi Technologies Inc. is a Delaware-registered company selling exclusively to U.S. customers. Our payment handling is structured to comply with the following federal frameworks and with the consumer-protection statutes enforced by each state's Attorney General.
Mail, Internet & Telephone Order Rule
We only capture payment for goods we can ship within the timeframe stated at checkout, and we notify you with a refund option if that timeframe changes.
Truthful pricing & billing
Prices, taxes, and totals shown before payment match what is charged — no undisclosed fees are added after you confirm your order.
Sale-of-goods contract terms
Payment and title transfer for every order follow Article 2 of the UCC, adopted in substantially similar form by all 50 states.
Electronic payment protections
Where a debit network is used, error-resolution and unauthorized-transaction rights under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act apply through your bank.
Destination-based tax collection
Tax is collected only in states where we have established nexus, at the rate set by that state and locality, and is itemized before you pay.
Unfair & deceptive practices acts
Our payment disclosures are written to satisfy the deceptive-practices statutes of every state we sell into, including California, New York, Texas, Florida, and Illinois.
California payment-data rights
California residents may request access to or deletion of the limited billing information we hold, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Corporate registration
Aesthi Technologies Inc. holds business registration number 10593109 and EIN 42-2242249, registered at our Dover, DE office.
This page summarizes our payment practices in plain language. Our Terms of Service and Legal Notice contain the full governing contract language and take precedence over this summary in the event of any conflict.
Answers to what we're asked most.
No. Card numbers are tokenized by our payment processor at the moment you enter them and are never written to our own store database.
Card statements display the legal entity behind a charge. Aesthi Technologies Inc. is the registered company that owns and operates The Meow Picks, so either descriptor may appear depending on your bank's formatting.
Not at this time. All orders must be completed through Shopify checkout using one of the twelve card, wallet, or account-based methods listed above.
No — product prices are shown tax-exclusive. Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping state and shown as its own line item before you pay.
Email josh@themeowpicks.com or call +1 347-352-5552 with the charge amount and date and we will locate the matching order or confirm it did not originate from us.
