A good scratching post has to be tall enough for a full stretch and heavy enough not to wobble, or a cat gives up on it. The Totem gets both right, with a solid pine base and a column wrapped in extra thick sisal that reaches high enough for a big cat to reach up and pull down.
The wood is finished to sit in a room rather than hide in a corner, so it earns its floor space.
