Handcrafted from two-year seasoned solid Devon oak in a rich medium tone. Two lounging platforms are topped with removable, washable sheepskin in otter brown or ivory, and the substantial 54 by 50cm base gives its 24kg frame a firm footing.
A 12mm industrial-strength sisal post handles the scratching and releases easily for re-sisaling. A built-in Fluff Ball or Rodney Rat toy is made to match your sheepskin. It arrives fully assembled.

Sophisticated Scratch is a small family workshop in Devon, England, at work since 2017. Each piece is cut and built to order by hand from sustainable English oak, so the wait is a little longer than a mass-market post and no two are quite alike.
Why oak and sisal
Solid oak gives the weight that keeps a scratcher from tipping when a cat throws itself at it, and the sisal rope is the texture cats actually want to work. The natural oak limbs mean the grain and shape vary from one to the next, which is the point.
