Paper Cat House
A foldable honeycomb-paper hideaway framed in solid pine.
Final/Total cost shown at checkout
The Paper Cat House turns a sheet of honeycomb kraft paper into a proper hideaway, an enveloping arch a cat ducks into to sleep and watch the room from cover. Solid pine panels hold the two ends, so it keeps its shape without the plastic or particleboard of a usual cat house.
It folds flat in one motion, which makes it easy to move between rooms or tuck away, and the whole shell is recyclable when it has done its years of service.

Mediterranean by design, natural by default
Althea Living is a Spanish studio that names its cat pieces like a chart of the coast, Timon, Marea, Faro, Isla, and builds them from materials that match, cork harvested without felling the tree, recycled cardboard, solid wood, jute and sisal. The idea is simple, cat furniture should be good for the cat, easy on the eye and light on the planet.
Made to be lived with
Each piece is shaped to sit in a real room rather than hide in a corner, and built from materials that renew themselves or recycle at the end of their life. It is cat gear you can leave in plain sight and feel good about.
A cat house that folds flat and recycles at the end is a rare, eco piece, and the pine-framed honeycomb structure looks far better than the cardboard box it could have been.
- Honeycomb kraft paper shell, light but surprisingly sturdy
- Solid pine wood side panels frame the den
- Folds flat to move or store in seconds
- Enclosed, quiet space a cat can retreat into
