Handcrafted from premium Devon oak and anchored by a base with a striking black resin river slice. Sweeping oak steps lead up to a large 59 by 54cm sleeping platform, with room for two or three cats to lounge.
A removable 12mm sisal scratcher, over a wide 37 by 54cm area, keeps claws busy and returns for re-sisaling when needed. It stands 104cm on adjustable legs, carries a two-year guarantee, and arrives fully assembled. Sheepskin comes in rare breed, cream, or otter brown, chosen in a note, with an optional Rodney Rat or Fluffball toy.

Sophisticated Scratch is a small family workshop in Devon, England, at work since 2017. Each piece is cut and built to order by hand from sustainable English oak, so the wait is a little longer than a mass-market post and no two are quite alike.
Why oak and sisal
Solid oak gives the weight that keeps a scratcher from tipping when a cat throws itself at it, and the sisal rope is the texture cats actually want to work. The natural oak limbs mean the grain and shape vary from one to the next, which is the point.
