The Lucy cave gives a cat what it actually wants from a bed: walls on every side and a low arched opening to duck through. The dense felt holds its shape, so it stays a proper cave instead of collapsing into a heap, and a removable cotton cushion sits in the base for the soft part.
A full-length zipper is the practical touch. It opens the cave flat for cleaning and zips back into shape in seconds, so the usual headache with a covered bed, getting the fur out, is handled. The M size suits cats that like to curl in and disappear.
