Handmade in Latvia
Kokaa is a small studio in Riga, Latvia, where a team of pet lovers designs and builds every piece in their own workshop. Nothing is mass produced. Each item is made to order, cut and finished by hand, so it arrives built for you rather than pulled off a shelf.
Baltic birch, nothing nasty
Everything is made from 12 mm cabinetry grade Baltic birch plywood, assembled with formaldehyde free glue and finished with a natural linseed hard wax oil. It is safe around cats and people, and the hidden fittings keep the lines clean so the piece reads as furniture, not pet gear.
We like this bed for the simple idea of getting a cat up off a cold floor onto something that still looks good in the room.
